What is the Community Resource Fair?
The annual Central Whidbey Community Resource & Career Fair is returning to Coupeville on May 23rd, 2024, for its 4th year of connecting vital community resources to our students and community in a one-stop-shop venue!
Central Whidbey is a beautiful place to live but our location on this wonderful island can make it tough for our residents to have a full view of the resources this island has to offer. The Community Resource Fair brings together resources not only from the Coupeville area but also from the North and South ends of the Island and into Skagit County in an effort to meet a large variety of needs. |
Who are you helping?
The 2024 Central Whidbey Resource & Career Fair is a combined effort between the Coupeville School District Student Support Services , Career and Technical Education Programs, Coupeville Schools Foundation and Island County Public Health to reach both students within the district and their families, as well as the larger community. Many of our resources focus on basic needs for those struggling to make ends meet or to find affordable housing or childcare right now; while our addition of the Career portion of the fair has allowed us to expand the focus to supporting our community’s futures as well. With the help of Spanish language interpreters and bilingual providers the Fair strives to be welcoming and accessible to all our community members.

Details: SOCK (Summer Opportunities for Coupeville Kids)
Summer Opportunities for Coupeville Kids is a program of the Coupeville School District Student Support Programs to help families overcome the financial and transportation challenges of participating in summer activities! Through partnerships with many local businesses and agencies the Student Support Programs maximize donations to this program to ensure that as many students as possible have access to the activity of their choice.
Past SOCK funds have supported tuition for swim lessons, camps, dance/gymnastics lessons, Driver’s Education, art classes, summer tutoring, and more! Through the flexibility of funding the program is able to not only support families in the cost of tuition, but also in acquiring uniforms, equipment, and providing transportation on a case by case basis. Donations are needed to make this program a success. |
