Meet Aimee Bishop
Tell us about yourself, what brought you to Coupeville?
My name is Aimee Bishop. I have spent most of my life in our incredible town and I graduated from Coupeville High School. My parents who graduated from Coupeville High School still live in Coupeville and both my sisters’ work within the CSD. I love this community and the beauty surrounding it.
Why is supporting children that are served by the Student Support Service Programs important to you?
We work with students that have many barriers to their education including, but not limited to: lack of housing, food, clothing, employment and family support. It is my job to support our students any way I can with the goal of eliminating barriers and helping students find their love for school and learning again. I feel passionate about reinventing their experience with school to make it a positive and accepting environment. It has been amazing to watch talented students who start with little belief in themselves, go on to attain their High School Diploma along with hope for a better future.
What other message would you like to share with our community?
The students we work with are often in need of clothing, food and social service support. With the AMAZING help from Arianna and the Student Support Service Programs, we have been able to break down many of the barriers to education for our determined students that have strong grit and boundless potential.
