Tell us about yourself and what brought you to Coupeville?
My husband and I both work from home on our real estate investment business. We moved to Coupeville in 2015 for a better quality of life, the small community, and the proximity to nature when our daughter started kindergarten. We also got my mom and my husband’s parents to move here!
When and why did you join the Coupeville Schools Foundation?
I’d been volunteering in our daughter's classroom and was wanting to have broader involvement across all schools, but I wasn’t ready for the School Board. After learning about the Foundation’s mission, I joined the Board in 2019.
What is your favorite thing to do in Coupeville?
Being outside sea kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and playing on the beach with family and friends.
What is your favorite Coupeville memory?
Watching gray whales from the deck of our house.
Why do you love being on the Foundation for Coupeville Public Schools?
When I see the multitude and variety of teacher grant projects funded, it makes me so happy to be part of a passionate team of volunteers working together to enrich the educational experiences of our community’s students.
