What brought you to Coupeville and why did you get involved with the Foundation?

I came to Coupeville in 2006 as the elementary principal and later the Student Services Director.  The Foundation supported my staff in their projects throughout the time I was in the Coupeville School District.  After I moved back in 2018 to Coupeville, I heard about the Foundation and the great works it was supporting.  I wanted to become involved and was asked if I would join the Board this year.

What is your favorite thing to do in Coupeville?

My favorite thing to do in Coupeville is to take advantage of festivals and the many outdoor opportunities for hiking and kayaking.  I also enjoy having my adult children home for the holidays!​

What is your favorite Coupeville memory?

My favorite Coupeville memory is being principal of the elementary school and the students/staff I served there.

Why do you love being on the Foundation for Coupeville Public Schools?

I love being on the Foundation as it is a way I can give back to the students we serve as well as support staff.  I love knowing that students and staff are benefiting from our efforts and their education is enriched.
