What brought you to Coupeville and why did you get involved with the Foundation?

I’ve been a Financial Planner for 25 years and in 2015, my wife and our 5 children moved from St. Louis, MO to Coupeville where I opened Terra Firma Wealth Mangement.  Joining the Foundation gives me the opportunity to positively impact and support our community and school district including administrators, teachers, staff, and students.  

What is your favorite thing to do in Coupeville?

I enjoy the outdoors and all the associated activities that living on the island provides.  This includes hiking, crabbing, and experiencing new places in the Pacific Northwest.  There’s so much to do in Coupeville from walking around our historic downtown area and wharf, enjoying the many festivals, to watching a softball game on a perfect afternoon.  After having been raised in a large city, I love being able to be part of a smaller community where I see people I know almost everywhere I go. ​

What is your favorite Coupeville memory?

One of favorite Coupeville memories is my wife Jess and I visiting in 2010 on a gray and rainy day and sitting in the corner booth at Toby’s and discussing how great it would be to move to Coupeville someday! ​

Why do you love being on the Foundation for Coupeville Public Schools?

I’m very involved in high school and youth sports and look for any opportunity I can to contribute to the success of our young people.  Being a part of the foundation grants me the ability to serve our school community.
