Oh What A Night!
On February 25th, a sellout crowd of 70 generous community supporters joined the 5 best chef's in Coupeville for a wonderful evening of food, friendship, and charity. In it's second year, this event raised over $22,000 for Coupeville Schools Foundation to support our mission. Through you, we are able to serve the schools in the form of enrichment grants, scholarships, and the Promise Fund. Let's first give the chef's their due for their generosity - they devoted their time and expertise, their passion, their venue, and even the ingredients to make this night come to fruition! Take a bow Tyler Hansen, Sedrick Livingston, Mario Saenz, Andreas Wurzrainer, and Ben Jones - the community raved over the creations you served! Let's raise a toast to the staff, who made every detail perfect, serving and clearing, pouring and providing, your efforts and professionalism was second to none. Let's also thank the sponsors (see picture) who made the evening and the fundraising raffles and experiences possible. Truly the heart of Coupeville is the biggest on the island! And to our community, thank you! Over half of our guests were new supporters to Coupeville Schools Foundation - showing the strength of our town's support to education, students and educators! Your purchase of tickets, raffles, heads and tails entries, raise the paddle and just having a great time - it made our day. We had a few volunteers to thank - including Duke, who is a Coupeville senior whose photos you will see. You have a bright future in Computer Engineering! We want to thank Deb Sherman for her illustrious and impactful career as well as her beautiful speech about her first-hand experience with how our Foundation makes a difference for her and her cohorts. And finally, I want to thank our Foundation Board members and our most amazing event magician, Vickie Chambers who was the mastermind of the idea and the work horse that made the night so special. She apparently is so busy, we almost didn't get a picture of her - but alas I did find her in one ensuring everything was perfect (see picture)! The Foundation Board is small but the most hardworking crew out there. Keep an eye out for us next year, and enjoy these photos! |
