What is the Community Resource Fair?
On Wednesday, April 27th - Coupeville Schools District Student Support Programs will be hosted the 2nd Annual Community Resource Fair to a great success!
The Community Resource Fair is a collaboration of the McKinney Vento, Migrant Education, Foster Care, Behavioral health, and Multilingual Learners programs aimed at bringing together the basic needs and enrichment resources of the community. Together these programs serve over 150 students and their families within the Coupeville School District. Through the collaboration of the Student Support Programs the Community Resource Fair is able to connect a variety of resources to our community ranging from basic needs provisions (housing, food, childcare) to health (dental, mental health) to academic and summer enrichment and more. Participants were welcomed to tour each booth and talk with the representatives at each display to learn more about how the wonderful local resources can offer! Kids had the opportunity to win prizes to help support their summer activities, including sports equipment, activity books, outdoor activities, etc. |
Who are you helping?
Currently Coupeville Schools has several student support programs serving those who need it most and they need our help. Between students classified as McKinney Vento (Homeless), Foster Care, Migrant Program, Behavioral Health, Multilingual Learners (formerly ELL), ages 3 to 21. The programs together have approximately 150 students so far in the 2021-2022 school year. This represents 15% of the entire school registration - your support NEVER has meant so much.

What is our goal?
In total, we are targeting to fundraise $7500 in monetary donations or direct resources. We have been successful in raising over $4000 including in-kind donations that made the Resource Fair on April 27th super successful!
The last part of this effort is SOCK and $2000 is budgeted. Summer Opportunities for Coupeville Kids. Arianna has been working with the interested children and families to match them up summer programs, including transportation! We are currently working with Click's Music, Boys and Girls Club, Driver's Ed, Sylvan Learning Center, and Online Arts Camps to provide opportunities for these kids. There are a host of other different area camps that we plan to make available if there is an interest. |
