What is the Community Resource Fair?
On Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 - Coupeville School District Student Support Program and Island County Public Health will be hosting the 3rd Annual Community Resource Fair! The Resource Fair will provide our students and families information on free or low-cost resources available to them in relation to basic needs, health, enrichment, and academics. Coupeville Student Support Services serves students who qualify as McKinney Vento, Migrant Education, Foster Care, Behavioral health, and Multilingual Learners programs. Together these programs serve over 205 students and their families within the Coupeville School District. The goal of the Community Resource Fair is to have a number of local providers, offering a variety of resources, represented through an in-person presence at an information booth. Students and families are invited to tour the booths, engage with providers, and participate in fun activities that they can then take home to use over the summer and beyond. Additionally, the Resource Fair will look to match students up with enrichment opportunities over the summer (Summer Opportunities for Coupeville Kids - SOCK). |

SOCK (Summer Opportunities for Coupeville Kids)
At the Student Resource Fair, eligible students are matched with summer opportunities in our community. In 2022, students were able to participate in great Island County programs like music camps, swimming lessons, driver's education programs, etc.
Your financial donations make the student's participation possible and the great staff at both Coupeville Schools and Island County will help make these dreams a reality. |
